About Us

Association of Research-Based Medical Technology Manufacturers  (ARTED) represents member organizations that develop, manufacture, and market medical products, technologies, related services, and treatments (Medical Technology) used for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, management, and alleviation of health issues and disabilities, with the aim of helping patients lead long and healthy lives.

ARTED was established in the second half of 2007 by six companies to facilitate direct and more effective communication with public stakeholders; to ensure and improve patients’ access to modern, innovative treatments in Turkey; and to establish a high standard for the application of ethical business principles in the Medical Device Market. By the end of 2009, it had officially become an association.

ARTED, whose membership applications were accepted by Eucomed in May 2011 and by EDMA in January 2014, has served as the national association representing Turkey within the MedTech Europe National Associations Network since January 2017, following the merger of Eucomed and EDMA under the MedTech Europe umbrella in Europe.

ARTED, which operates in the medical device technology sector, aims to establish a common platform for the development of Turkey’s innovative and high-tech medical device industry and to contribute to the health of patients in Turkey by expanding access to new products, information, and technology, while aligning the medical device technology sector with the standards of developed countries.

ARTED, whose membership applications were accepted by Eucomed in May 2011 and by EDMA in January 2014, has served as the national association representing Turkey within the MedTech Europe National Associations Network since January 2017, following the merger of Eucomed and EDMA under the MedTech Europe umbrella in Europe. 

ARTED, which operates in the medical device technology sector, aims to establish a common platform for the development of Turkey’s innovative and high-tech medical device industry, and to contribute to the health of patients in Turkey by expanding access to new products, information, and technology, as well as bringing the medical device technology sector to an ethical, transparent, and reputable level.

ARTED has dedicated all its resources to advancing medical science, improving patient care, and, in particular, contributing to the development of high-quality, innovative medical technology to achieve these goals. Along with its members, ARTED includes healthcare professionals (physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, and other professionals specified in Law No. 1219 on the Practice of Medical and Allied Professions) and other professionals working in healthcare services as defined in the Regulation on the Job and Duty Descriptions of Healthcare Professionals and Other Professionals Working in Healthcare Services, as well as technical staff working within healthcare institutions and organizations, employees of hospital procurement units and reimbursement agencies, and other healthcare sector workers, ARTED assumes the responsibility of ensuring the application of ethical standards during interactions between healthcare service providers and official institutions and organizations.
