Three Key Consultation Meetings Held with TİTCK to Strengthen and Sustain Strategic Collaboration.

In order to assess the current needs of the medical device sector, regulatory practices, and the challenges encountered in the field, three important consultation meetings were held with representatives of the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency on 6, 13, and 14 August 2026.

The meetings comprehensively addressed a wide range of issues of importance to our sector, from technical service services and MDR/IVDR implementation to sales, advertising and promotional activities and practices in the field. The meetings were moderated by our ARTED Secretary General, Ferda Bayşu..

ARTED Technical Services Working Group Leader, Mehmet Yazgan, shared the views and recommendations of our sector with the Agency representatives. In the meeting on the MDR and IVDR Regulations, attended by ARTED  Regulatory Working Group Head, İrem Göçer, and  Vice Chairs, Serlin Ceran and Ebru Memeti, current developments regarding the MDR and IVDR, regulatory changes in the European Union, the European Commission Proposal 2025/1023, and challenges encountered in implementation were discussed.

The questions and expectations of sector representatives were mutually evaluated. In the meeting on Sales, Advertising and Promotional Practices, attended by ARTED  Ethics Working Group Head  Deniz Kaya, Vice Chair, Müge Uslu, and members of our Ethics Working Group, field practices concerning the sales, advertising and promotion of medical devices, EBS processes, the need for guidance, and uncertainties encountered in practice were evaluated. The consultation was highly productive, with strong participation and an interactive question-and-answer session. These three important consultation meetings provided a positive environment for solution-oriented and productive dialogue, enabling representatives of the Agency and the sector to exchange their views, experiences, and expectations.

We would like to thank, first and foremost, the representatives of the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, as well as the members of the ARTED and  sector representatives, for their valuable contributions to the meetings. As ARTED, we will continue to share the needs and common views of the medical device sector with the relevant public authorities and to strengthen a culture of constructive dialogue and consultation.
