For a sustainable health ecosystem, the medical device industry’s cash flow problem must be resolved!
ARTED Chairman of the Board Ayhan Öztürk, was the guest of Hande Demirel in the Technology Age program broadcasted live on A Para news channel on June 23. Öztürk commented on the current agenda of the industry, the medical technologies that will shape the future of the medical device industry, the importance of medical devices in the COVID-19 pandemic and the localization steps. Öztürk has emphasized that the medical device industry supported the health workers and worked devotedly during the pandemic process. He said:
“Our employees, technical staff and sales-clinical support staff were at the service of our patients working side by side with healthcare professionals and all to serve our patients. The contribution of the medical device industry to the rapid recovery of our country during pandemic and better management of the process compared to other countries in the world is an undeniable fact. ”
Ozturk stated that sector’s first priority is the uninterrupted supply chain management. Both ARTED and its members worked hard to ensure sufficient and timely supply of medical devices in Turkey.
Öztürk drew attention to the importance of resolving the medical device sector’s cash flow problem and issuing a sustainable and working pricing system in the medical device sector in order to ensure a sustainable healthcare system. Öztürk has also evaluated the steps taken towards the goal of localization in the medical device sector and emphasized that localization in the sector is only possible with a sustainable health ecosystem formed by correct pricing, cash flow and regulation policies. He explained that, ARTED and its member companies can actively contribute to this process with their knowledge and experience.
